I've been trying to resolve a few things in RL and haven't been online much in the past few weeks.

One thing resolved: the car crisis.

I have upgraded my '77 Volvo wagon for an '88 Volvo wagon. Silver this time and I now have a roof rack for extra passengers. *g*

When I find a digital camera I'll take photos and post them somewhere.

(Don't ask how I payed for it. You won't like the answer.)

Speaking of the real world, what do you folks think of me as an IRS attorney? I know I claimed I really didn't want to do that anymore, and I don't, but it might be a place to tread water while building up a tutoring business and I bet they only work from 9 to 5. This would be dealing with either mid to large size businesses or with crooked charities, not making life miserable for real folks. There is something vaguely appealing about the idea. I especially think that people who claim to be running a charity and then don't give the money over to the causes they claim to support are breaking the public trust.

In the tutoring area, a friend at the radio station had the best marketing idea yet. There is a free mag/advertising circular given away in plastic boxes all over the city. I could write an article for them about how to teach your child mathmatics. If they let me put even the barest contact info at the bottom of the first column, bingo, instant advertising.

I am looking forward to Passover this year. I'm taking the train to MA to spend about two days with my aunt, et al. My uncle and his hubby are bringing the kids down so I can give Joey a great big "I'm so glad you got adopted" hug, play with Jacob now that he is walking and talking a little and see my cousin's new baby.

So, how's life with you all?

Actually, it's not that bad. I used my credit card to get a cash advance so I could pay for the car.

Wonder of wonders, the Dragon Vile, the gonna-be-ex, advanced me a like amount from our pending property settlement. So I've already sent a payment to the credit card company to cover what I took as an advance.

Now, about being an IRS lawyer: someone else is going to do the job if you don't. I trust you more than anyone else in the world to do a diligent, ethical job in that sort of positiion. So, if that's what you are thinking of doing, don't dwell on the negative images but on what you can bring to the position.

I'm hoping you are going to have new photos of your new cousin and cousin-to-be to post online one of these days. And the daddies, too! Happy families are always a treat to see.
